NWFR is an all volunteer group that does not receive any funding. Any money received from events or other sources go towards the group's expenses, which run into thousands of pounds per year. As an example, vehicle insurance is around £ 1500, a recent repair bill for an engine was over £ 6000 and a tank of fuel is now coming on for £ 200.
